House Hunting Texas Road Trip

WOW am I glad to be home!
Don't get me wrong, the kids were angels but nobody wants to be in a car that long...there were the countless pee stops

the fantastic hotel of which had an indoor pool, strawberry cream cheese, hot chocolate, and a 'couch' bed so the kids loved it!

Our visit to Houston was a success. After all of that driving around here is our new house in Katy, TX...

The description reads, "Beautiful home on oversiezed cul-de-sac lot with tile floors in entry & kitchen, study with french doors, formal dining with chair railing & crown molding, archways, built-ins (that open to a secret room! aka-Andy's fish room), art niches & sprinkler system. Spacious island kitchen with granite countertops, tile backsplash & breakfast bar. Bright open den with tile surround fireplace & entertainment niche. Cozy master bedroom opens to master bath with whirlpool tub, separate shower & double walk-in closets. Large Backyard with covered patio.

After our house hunting trip was complete we headed off for a well deserved trip to the Houston Zoo. If you ask the kids what they liked best Wil says the "Baby Elephant. He was eating and pooped and peed! it was gross" now he doesn't say it with a tone you would think was gross he says it with a smile and tone of awesomeness. Claira thought the 'teddy bears' were neat, but they were actually Grizzly bears. Here we are with the Cheetahs...

From the zoo we drove over to Austin and visited with Andy's Parents for a few days. The kids enjoyed the free time, riding bikes, going on hikes to find golf balls, eating peanut butter toast, and visiting with their Great Grandparents. Here is Grandma Jenny (before the sun came up) with the kids as we left Sunday morning.

It was a very long drive home 12 hours! But we made it and are back to our normal schedule.

I can't believe you are leaving already, but I am sure it is a good thing for the family. Looks like are closer to Andrew's family too. I need to come meet Abygail, she is the only one I haven't met :)
