Flying Solo...sort of

This past weekend AbyKate and I took a trip to California to visit by family. This was my first time away from William and Claira.  It was my birthday gift to my Mom and we were lucky enough to celebrate Mothers Day and my Sister, Amy's, Birthday.
Though we were there barely 4 days we saw so many people we love and did a lot of fun things.

I got to go out to lunch with some good friends, while Nana, Papa, Nene & Uncle Pete took Aby to the Beach.

It was a sunny day and the birds were out, but it was windy and cold so there was no playing in the water. This was ok with Aby as she took one step in the wet sand and wanted nothing to do with it.

She was more interested in digging in the dry sand far from all that water

and enjoyed chasing the Sea Gulls!

For the Birthday Girl's day we spent the day shopping at South Coast Plaza

Had a fun lunch at the RainForest Cafe with cousins and my wonderful Aunt Cata. There was also time to ride the carousel, which started off being so much fun...

but ended with wanting more. And yes I was laughing at her along with Nana, Papa, Nene & Uncle Pete...she was so cute!

While in town we also had dinner with Aby's GodParents and great family friends and visited the annual LA Woody Show. Its funny how the same old cars

and the same old men still bring a smile to my face.

We had a great time and are going to miss everyone, though I think Cricket might miss us more :)

We plan to see everyone in October again, all six of us!
