Home Sweet Home

We made it home and what a long trip it was. To begin with we arrived at LAX to find our flight to Houston delayed 49 minutes. This was not that bad because the security line was so long, 45 minutes! After standing in the security line for maybe 30 minutes Wil says, "Mommy I have to pee pee"...."are you serious, please hold it"..."I can't, I have to go". By now everyone around us is giggling, what should a mother alone with two kids do in this situation, and it being LA everyone giggles but pretends to ignore your dilemma. Finally after William starts to dance around the gentleman in front of us says he will hold our spot, "OH thank you" and off we ran.
Once on the delayed plane, we had a wonderful flight to Houston. They served PIZZA, the kids favorite, and a twix candy bar which they loved.
Our arrival to Houston was welcomed with what started out as a 5 minutes delay that turned into a 1/2 hour delay, yeah still not bad but during this very crowed time in the airport, both kids did their business (at different times) and the tiny bathroom with a really long line had NO changing tables!!! Then once we got onto our plane we sat on the tarmac for 2 HOURS!!! Lucky me, the kids miraculously feel asleep and slept the whole time. Claira woke just before take off and Wil woke about 1/2 hour later. It was a bumpy flight due to some major storm clouds, this is what caused our delay to being with. BLAHHH!!!! Needless to say I was looking forward to getting off that little plane.
Nothing like Mississippi humidity, Daddy, Cleo and all our toys!!! The kids didn't get to bed till 10:15 and boy we're they happy to be in their own beds, for the first time in a week I didn't have to lay down with them! William though, slept so hard that he had his first accident since he decided not to wear sleepy underwear (Diapers), its been 3 weeks! We are very proud of him, but this accident meant he got up at 6:15 and he is insisting he is not tired, but trust me that is not true. Little Claira is still snoozing in her cozy bed, showing no signs of waking. She has about another 45 minutes before we have to be up and out of the house for Wil's swimming lessons, I hope I don't have to wake her. One of my few rules as a mommy is "Never Wake a Sleeping Baby"
